STENVER ("STENVER," "we," "us," or "our") operates this online store and website, including the related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (collectively, the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you visit or use the Services, make a purchase or other transaction, or communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy regarding personal information, this Privacy Policy controls.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described below.

Personal Information We Collect or Process

"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that has been anonymized or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you.

Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.

  • Order and transaction information, such as products you view, add to your cart or wishlist, purchase, return, or cancel; order numbers; payment status; shipping details; and transaction history.

  • Payment information. Payment information is processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We generally receive payment confirmation and limited transaction details rather than your complete payment-card number.

  • Account information, if customer accounts are enabled, such as your username, login credentials, preferences, and settings.

  • Communications, including information you provide when you contact customer support, submit a form, write a review, or otherwise communicate with us.

  • Device and network information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, network connection, and online identifiers.

  • Approximate location information, such as country, region, or city inferred from your IP address.

  • Usage and interaction information, such as pages and products viewed, referral source, searches, clicks, taps, scrolling activity, navigation paths, time spent on pages, cart activity, and session interactions.

  • Marketing information, such as your advertising interactions, campaign source, communication preferences, and whether you opened or interacted with a marketing message.

  • Inferences, such as likely product interests or preferences derived from your activity on the Services.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through analytics or session-replay tools. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information through ordinary email or customer-support messages.

Sources of Personal Information

We may collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you, including when you place an order, create an account, join a mailing list, submit a form, contact us, or otherwise provide information to us.

  • Automatically from your device, including through cookies, pixels, local storage, tags, scripts, and similar technologies when you visit or interact with the Services.

  • From service providers, including Shopify, payment processors, analytics providers, advertising platforms, email providers, customer-support providers, and fulfillment and shipping providers.

  • From advertising or business partners, such as when they provide campaign, attribution, or interaction information.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and improving the Services. We use information to operate the store, process payments, fulfill and deliver orders, provide order updates, maintain customer accounts, remember preferences, operate wishlists, process returns or cancellations, respond to support requests, and improve the shopping experience.

  • Analytics and usability. We use information to understand how visitors find and use the store, evaluate site performance, identify errors or confusing experiences, improve navigation and product presentation, and measure the effectiveness of changes to the Services.

  • Marketing and advertising. We may use information to send promotional emails when you have requested or permitted them, measure advertising performance, understand campaign attribution, and display or help deliver advertisements on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the link included in the email.

  • Security and fraud prevention. We use information to authenticate users, protect accounts and transactions, detect or investigate fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity, and protect the Services, our customers, and others.

  • Communicating with you. We use information to provide customer support, respond to requests, send transactional messages, and maintain our business relationship with you.

  • Legal and business purposes. We use information to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, resolve disputes, enforce our terms and policies, protect legal rights, and support legitimate business operations.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, scripts, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, provide analytics, prevent fraud, and measure or support advertising.

Depending on your location and the controls available on the Services, you may be able to manage certain privacy choices through our cookie banner or data-sharing opt-out page. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or scripts may prevent some store features from functioning correctly.

Some browsers support privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required by applicable law and technically supported, we process recognized opt-out preference signals as requests to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising.

Analytics and Session Replay

We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with our online store and to improve its performance and usability. PostHog may process information such as pages and products viewed, clicks, taps, scrolling activity, navigation paths, referral source, URLs, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, and session timing. PostHog may also create a visual replay of a visitor's interactions with our storefront.

We configure session replay so that information typed into form fields is masked by default. We do not intentionally use PostHog to record passwords, complete payment-card numbers, or information entered during Shopify checkout. Analytics data may be processed using PostHog infrastructure in the United States.

For more information about PostHog's privacy practices, please review the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Advertising and Measurement

We may use advertising and measurement services provided by Meta, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure advertising results, understand how visitors interact with our store after seeing an advertisement, build audiences, and deliver or improve advertisements on Facebook and Instagram.

Depending on the settings used and applicable law, Meta may receive information such as device and browser information, IP address, pages or products viewed, cart or purchase events, transaction value, and hashed contact information. Meta processes information according to its own privacy policy. For more information, review the Meta Privacy Policy.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • To Shopify, which hosts and supports our store and processes information necessary to provide the Services.

  • To payment providers to authorize and process payments, manage refunds, and prevent fraud.

  • To fulfillment, delivery, and logistics providers to process, ship, track, and deliver orders.

  • To technology and service providers, including providers of analytics, session replay, email, wishlists, reviews, customer support, security, cloud storage, and IT services.

  • To advertising and marketing partners, including Meta, to measure campaigns, provide advertising services, and deliver targeted advertising where permitted.

  • At your direction or with your consent, such as when you use a social-media feature or request that we disclose information to another party.

  • For legal, safety, and compliance purposes, including to comply with applicable law or valid legal process; investigate fraud, security incidents, or policy violations; enforce our terms; or protect our rights and the rights of customers or others.

  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, subject to applicable law.

Our service providers may process personal information only as permitted by their contracts with us and applicable law. Advertising partners may also process information under their own privacy policies.

Relationship With Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide and improve Shopify-powered services. Information submitted through the Services may be transmitted to Shopify and to service providers located outside the place where you live.

We may use Shopify features that rely on information from your interactions with our store and, where enabled, with other merchants and Shopify. In those circumstances, Shopify may be independently responsible for certain processing and for responding to requests concerning that processing.

To learn more, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also use the Shopify Privacy Portal to exercise rights relating to information controlled by Shopify.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, complete transactions, maintain business and tax records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, why it was collected, legal requirements, and the settings and contracts applicable to our service providers. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send complete payment-card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information to us through email or other unsecured communication channels. If you maintain a customer account, you are responsible for protecting your login credentials.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access or know: Request information about the personal information we collect, use, or disclose about you.

  • Delete: Request deletion of personal information we maintain about you.

  • Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

  • Portability: Request a copy of certain personal information in a portable format.

  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising: Request that we not sell or share personal information, or use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable law.

  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent where our processing relies on your consent.

  • Appeal: Appeal our decision concerning a privacy-rights request where applicable.

  • Manage marketing communications: Unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the message. Even after opting out of marketing, you may still receive transactional or service-related communications.

You may exercise available rights through the privacy controls provided on the Services or by emailing us at info@shopstenver.com. Please describe your request and the email address or order information needed for us to locate the relevant records.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Where permitted, you may use an authorized agent, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share, as those terms are defined by applicable law, the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

International Processing

Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we and our service providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

Third-Party Websites and Services

The Services may contain links to websites, social networks, or other services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content of unaffiliated third-party services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technologies, services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy on the Services, update the "Last updated" date, and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
